Having lived in Alaska for 13yrs and Lorraine for 40yrs, we know the peninsula and how to enjoy it! We have vacation rentals and I have built this business on the premise of function, diversity, safety and fun! Our huskies will probably greet you, then fill up your water bottle head out for adventure!
How and Why We Started...
First off Thank you for checking out Bike Cooper Landing! I’m Mike and I live here in Cooper Landing year round and enjoy hiking, biking and fishing here in the heart of the Chugach National Forest. Bike Cooper Landing offers Mountain Bike rentals for those that enjoy 100% human powered travel, we also offer eBikes for those (myself included) who enjoy or need a little help up the hills to be able to visit places we wouldn’t normally go. All of our rentals come with helmets, maps and a GPS tracker so in case of an emergency, we can pinpoint your location and find you no problem!
A little bit about myself and how Bike Cooper Landing came about; after the pandemic, 2 of our businesses closed so we decided to rent out a couple of old mountain bikes to subsidize our losses. Realizing this service was in high demand, we slowly added bikes and Bike Cooper Landing was born! Our goal is to introduce people to entry level Mountain Biking whether its pedal power or an ebike. About 6 yrs ago I almost had all of my hiking and biking abilities taken away from me, I was injured at work and sustained multiple injuries which earned me a total of 8 surgeries so far. My girlfriend Lorraine and I enjoy going on long rides and a normal bike ride was almost more than I could take. We heard about eBikes and how it’s opening places up to people who couldn’t or longer can ride like they used to. “That’s how I’m gonna get back to enjoying the trails with Lorraine”! That’s our goal to introduce people to the joys of bikes and the great outdoors.
